February’s Session Spotlight - Baby Girl’s Newborn Portraits in Wilmington, Delaware

It might have been a chilly winter Monday morning in Wilmington, Delaware, but this newborn session was warm and beautiful.  This was the second gorgeous baby I photographed as a Sweet Me Photographer for the J family.  After getting my studio into their home and setting up we opted for family photos in their beautifully decorated floral nursery.

Can you tell that big brother was excited to be promoted to big brother?  We were able to include this beautiful handmade blanket a friend knitted herself just for baby girl.

Only 13 days old, and she definitely rocked her newborn session! She wasn’t a huge fan of being moved around too much, but once she settled into a pose she got comfy she was so easy to work with.

What made this session extra special was the addition of Mom’s wedding dress and accessories into the session.  It was so heavy, so we had to find a creative way to display it and keep baby super comfy as well.  But we made it work, and had a few spotters for the dress and baby for extra safety.  Mom’s bridesmaids wore red, so we just had to find a beautiful red for baby girl to rock in her photos.  It also gave such a beautiful pop of color to the images with wedding dress.
